Defenders of Writeousness

As your super friendly blog maintainer (that would be me, Sarah Z.), I would like to extend a warm hand towards all of you awesome Defenders!

If, for some reason, you have no idea exactly what you stumbled on (in that case, hello anonymous!), it’s probably a good idea that I briefly explain who we are. We may sound a bit like a cult from our url, but I promise that is mostly not the case. What we are is:

a)  St. Olaf College’s best writing club. No, this is not an objective statement. This is fact.

b) A friendly, informal place for like-minded individuals who love writing and want to get better at it through critiques, discussions, movie nights and game nights. Yes, those last two are essential to our writing process.

c) A way to bring all of the NaNoWrimo-ers and ScriptFrenzy-ers together so we can push through the fiendish word limits with as much fun as possible for writing a 50,000 word novel during November in college.

So I hope you have fun reading posts! And feel free to add me (blueboxes) on Tumblr. Just expect a LOT of Doctor Who, comics and fangirling.
